Ring around Sun (Sun Halo) @ Labuan

Canon EOS 350D. EXIF: ISO 100, 1/500s, f/22, 18mm.

Took this shot after a cousin of mine SMS me to look up the sky. Only able to see the rainbow around sun after putting on my sunglass as the sun is too bright. This sun halo is formed by thin layer of ice crystal appear at high atmosphere.

Side notes: A few photo of "strange" phenomena occur around the sun halo published by the one of the local daily headline. I really DOUBT it's not caused by reflection of lens (some more it's taken from camera phone lens) and finally found this which explain everything. Probably this is the biggest joke ever on Unidentified Flying Object. :P
